Whether you’re exploring the Clare Valley or simply passing through, The Rising Sun Hotel offers the perfect retreat in the heart of Auburn. Once a refuge for weary travellers, our historic pub continues to provide comfort and charm, blending original heritage features with stylish, cosy interiors.
Our 10 character-filled rooms are split between the main pub building and the historic mews building, originally constructed in the 1850s. Due to the steps and the heritage nature of these buildings, unfortunately, our rooms are not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges.
With thoughtful touches throughout, our rooms provide a welcoming place to rest after a day of discovering all the Clare Valley has to offer.

Located at the rear of the historic main pub, our Heritage Rooms provide a classic and comfortable stay. Choose from double bed or two single beds rooms. Each room includes:

Mews Rooms
Situated adjacent to the main hotel, our Mews Rooms are beautifully styled with old-world charm, featuring wrought iron beds and unique character touches. Each room includes:
