In January 2026, The Rising Sun marks 175 years at the heart of Auburn and the Clare Valley. To acknowledge the occasion, we are hosting a three-day celebration across the Front Bar, Stable Green and Hallway, bringing together live music, food and the community that has shaped the pub since 1851.
The weekend includes mostly free events, with optional VIP upgrades on Saturday and Sunday, plus a limited-capacity dinner and show on Saturday night.
Friday 23 January
Front Bar Birthday Kick-Off | Free Entry
A relaxed start to the weekend in the Front Bar.
Extended locals’ happy hour from 4.00–7.00 pm, followed by DJ Murph from 7.30 pm.
No ticket required.
Saturday 24 January
Stable Green Sessions | Free General Admission
A full day of live music on the Stable Green from 12.00–8.00 pm.

Peter Head Piano Bar | Dinner & Show
A separate, intimate ticketed event in the Hallway and Breezeway.
Peter Head presents King of the Cross, with a three course dinner.
Arrival from 6.30 pm for a sparkling welcome.
Dinner and show from 8.00–10.00 pm.
Strictly limited to 30 guests.

Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Eighteen Fifty & Co. Pty Ltd (trading as The Rising Sun Hotel).
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
Employees of the promoter and associated partners are not eligible to enter.
3. Promotion Period
The promotion opens on publication and closes at 11:59pm (ACDT) Sunday 18 January 2026.
4. How to Enter
Major Prize – Purchase Entry
To enter the major prize draw, participants must purchase a paid Rising Sun 175 event offering during the promotion period.
Eligible purchases include:
- VIP Upgrades for Stable Green sessions (Saturday and or Sunday)
- Peter Head Piano Bar Dinner and Show tickets
Each qualifying purchase completed in a single transaction constitutes one entry.
Multiple transactions equal multiple entries.
Free general admission attendance does not constitute an entry.
Social Prize – Free Entry
To enter the social prize draw, participants must like, comment on, and share the competition post published on the Promoter’s official Facebook or Instagram account.
No purchase is required to enter the social prize draw.

Five social prizes will be awarded.
6. Prize Conditions
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
Any costs not expressly included in the prize description are the responsibility of the winner.
Prizes must be taken on the specified dates and cannot be deferred.
7. Draw and Announcement
Winners will be drawn at random on Monday 19 January 2026.
Winners will be notified directly and announced via the Promoter’s official social media channels.
8. Unclaimed Prize
If a winner does not respond within 48 hours of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of participation in the promotion or acceptance of a prize.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights under Australian Consumer Law.
